liberation

The Vision

A series of spatial explorations designed to liberate the traditional classroom, seamlessly connecting learning environments with their immediate contextual surroundings. Inspired by early childhood memories, the design manipulates volume, openings, and massing to trigger a profound sense of excitement, openness, and curiosity.

Spatial Hierarchy

The architecture strikes a delicate balance between extended, flowing spaces and a cohesive school identity. The master plan is organized into three distinct, shared spaces. Modular classrooms featuring adaptable panels that allow each space to transform into a unique permutation of expression. Dynamic play corridors that encourage mutual sharing, interaction, and vibrant play. A central playground serving a dual purpose as a vibrant learning space for children and a festive gathering ground for the local village community.

Context & Integration

By intentionally clustering the building mass, the school integrates effortlessly with the natural landscape. The result is a sensory, psycho-physical environment deeply soaked in natural light, cross-ventilation, and surrounding greenery—ultimately creating an inspiring setting that naturally draws children to learn.
